Leather Bother

Merry xmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines Day and Chinese New Year and All the things i've missed since I last posted something on here.

Something's been in my mind for quite a while now.
Being a relatively new Vegetarian, the fact of wearing leather seems to me forbidden as well. I mean, it's just logical isnt it? I'm not eating animals, I won't use their skin for my clothes.
I had no problems with it until I bought ankle-boots. I've been searching for the ideal pair for a year, in vain.
Then that other day I eventually found them. But they're leather. So were all the other pair I checked out.
How is it possible to be a good vegetarian when you can't find a shop that sell beautiful non-leather shoes?
I know the alternative vegan shoe shops, but they're... in another country. Has anyone heard of such a shop in France, where I'm currently living?

Until I move back to the Uk (or somewhere else), I'll have to deal with my conscience and my leather shoes.
